Happy New Year Y'all!

What better time to start afresh than the 1st of January. Even though you can start to change your life on any old day, there's something satisfying about a clean slate on the first day of the year - bonus points when it falls on a Monday!
If you're happy in your skin and you dread the bombardment of Joe Wicks and the like jumping out of the shadows with unsolicited advice as soon as the clock strikes midnight then that's just fine but if you, like me, are starting your New Year with health goals then welcome aboard! I'm starting my year by doing what I should have been doing for a while now - following my own bloody programme! This begins with two weeks of eating from a selected food list, consisting of clean and simple foods and beverages. There's no weighing, tracking or logging at this point - just good old fashioned real food that'll get me in to a state of ketosis, reduce my appetite and if past experience is anything to go by - will improve my health and weight almost immediately. Whenever I get back on programme I'm always shocked at how quickly my resting heart rate improves so I'm looking forward to seeing a difference there. I'm resting at 70bpm now which is 13bpm higher than where it rested at my healthiest weight! Body size aside I'm sure you can agree that's not good. If you stay with me on my journey this time round, I'm excited for you to see the improvements too. Food can truly be thy medicine. I've proven it before and I'll prove it again.
I've taken my start weight, measurements and photos and I'm raring to go. Avocados at the ready! Have a fabulous, fat fuelled first week everyone!
